Nébih Recalls Kinder Products Due to Contamination With Salmonella

Salmonella cases have been reported in several EU Member States and have been shown to be linked to various Kinder chocolate products made at the Arlon plant in Belgium.

According to an investigation by the Belgian food safety authority, contaminated products have also arrived in Hungary, the National Food Chain Safety Authority (Nébih) told MTI on Wednesday. Nébih has started a follow-up investigation of the affected products, and customers can find out the exact product details on the agency’s website. The list is constantly being updated.

 

According to the information of Ferrero Magyarország Kereskedelmi Kft., six different products have been involved in the recall in Hungary so far: Kinder Schokobons 46g, 125g, 200g, 300g, Kinder Surprise Maxi 100g, Kinder Mix 198g, Kinder Maxi Mix 133g, Kinder Mini Eggs 250g, Kinder Happy Moments 133g, 162g, 347g. Nébih asks the people not to consume any of the products listed.

The characteristic symptoms of the infection caused by Salmonella are diarrhea, vomiting, high fever, but in milder cases only fever and depression can be experienced, depending on the individual, the infection may remain asymptomatic – they wrote.
