A 67-year-old man filed a complaint with the police on January 19, 2022, that 710,000 forints had been stolen from him. The victim said he had met a woman the day before who he wanted to employ as a cleaning lady. They walked around the house, sat down to talk, and then fell asleep. He got up not long after, but he didn’t find his new acquaintance on the property, but the HUF 210,000 in his pants and the amount of HUF 500,000 hidden in his kitchen cabinet disappeared.
Investigators immediately began searching for the unknown woman. They soon came to the attention of a resident of Bocskaikert who matched the description given by the victim. The woman was taken to the police station, where she was interrogated as a suspect on the basis of a well-founded suspicion of robbery.
The Criminal Department of the Debrecen Police Headquarters carried out the necessary procedural steps and sent the resulting documents to the competent prosecutor’s office.
