According to the warning, UV-B radiation is expected to exceed the warning criteria in almost the entire country (six of the seven statistical regions) on Tuesday.


In Central Transdanubia, the Southern Great Plain, the Northern Great Plain and Northern Hungary, the predicted UV index reaches 7 in at least 50 percent of the area, so a warning of very strong UV radiation has been issued in these areas. .
In more than 50 percent of the areas of Southern Transdanubia and Pest and Budapest, the predicted UV index also exceeds the value of 8, therefore the meteorological service issued a warning to these areas due to extreme radiation.
In case of normal skin type, redness may occur even if you stay outdoors for 15-20 minutes a day. The meteorological service is asking everyone to be protected against sunburn and to avoid sunbathing between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. The use of a T-shirt, straw hat and sunscreen is definitely recommended, they wrote. There will be a lot of sunshine during the day, but from late afternoon a cold front will come from the west.
From late in the afternoon, especially in the western part of the country, showers and thunderstorms may occur. In some places the wind is getting stronger, there may be stormy gusts around thunderstorms. Daytime maxima are expected between 26 and 32 degrees.
