Hungarian retail sales in June grew by an annual 4.1%, down from 12% growth in May, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said on Wednesday.
Sales in June were an annual 4.5% higher, based on calendar year-adjusted data. Food sales fell by 0.3%, while non-food sales increased by 2.5%. Vehicle fuel sales shot up by 23.6%. Retail sales were worth 1,429 billion forints (EUR 3.6bn), with food sales accounting for 45% of the total.
