Vandalism? This is what the Árpád-era church ruins in Debrecen-Dombostanya look like now

The former wooden tower has disappeared, and vandalism has taken over the remains of the Parlagi church ruin in Dombostanya, writes our reader, who also attached photos of what he experienced on the spot.

Parlag is mentioned as a village in the written document of 1210. In the 16th century, it was a village with 30-40 lots. It became uninhabited around 1660, after which it was taken over by Debrecen. Until the 1850s, there was also a tap seat here, on the part called Úrdomb. To the west of the Dombostanya railway station lie the church ruins of the Árpád-era Parlag village, for which a monument was built in 1993 based on the plans of Zoltán Rácz, turautak.com previously wrote.
