The specialists of the Clinical Center of the University of Debrecen performed excellently in the care of COVID patients – the state secretary responsible for health assessed during his visit on Friday. Péter Takács also emphasized that the professional work is still carried out in the institution in a modern way and of outstanding quality.
The state secretary responsible for health was informed about the activities of the Clinical Center of the University of Debrecen, the results of the integration, and the new approach to the organization of patient care at the site. Péter Takács first visited the Emergency Clinic and the Gastroenterology Clinic, where he spoke highly of the professional work in the Clinical Center.
During the pandemic, as the Deputy Director General responsible for basic and specialized care at the National General Hospital Directorate, I had the impression that the professionals of the Clinical Center of the University of Debrecen were excellent and organized excellently not only Debrecen and the county but in some cases the region care as well. During his visit on Friday, Péter Takács also held professional discussions with the leaders of the university and the Clinical Center on the possibilities of future cooperation.

The Secretary of State came to the institution at the invitation of György Kossa, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the István Gróf Tisza Foundation for the University of Debrecen, and Zoltán Szabó, Chairman of the Clinical Center.
The University of Debrecen operates one of the largest patient care institutions in the country, so we thought it important to show the State Secretary responsible for health the activities of the Clinical Center and the conditions here. In addition, we discussed strategic ideas that can help provide for the people living here. We are also thinking about joint projects that can serve as a model for other healthcare institutions

The Secretary of State for Health of the Ministry of the Interior also visited the Oncoradiology Clinic, where he received detailed information about, among other things, the newly acquired radiation therapy planning systems. On Friday, Péter Takács visited the Gyula Kenézy Campus in addition to the Nagyerdei Campus, where he also learned about the operation of the new patient care units.
