Hungary’s seasonally adjusted Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) rose to 56.4 points in October from just below 50 in September, Halpim, the company that compiles the index, said on Wednesday.
A PMI under 50 signals contraction in the manufacturing sector. Among the PMI sub-indices, the new orders index rose from the previous month and showed expansion, while the production volume index also rose, indicating growth.
