We have started negotiations regarding the post offices planned to be closed by Magyar Posta in Debrecen – reported László Papp. True to his earlier promise, the mayor of Debrecen writes on his social media page that the city administration strives to ensure that at least the post offices located on Jánosi and Galamb streets in the eastern part of the city can continue to operate.
Based on residents’ comments, these are the post offices with the highest traffic, so the city administration considers it justified to maintain their operation. Based on the consultation, however, this is only possible if the municipality takes a role in financing the operating costs of the post office

As he promised, the relevant negotiations will continue and, if possible, they will try to close them within a short period of time. “The decision of the Magyar Posta will come into effect on November 11, but our goal is to be able to arrange for the reopening of the mentioned two post offices as soon as possible,” wrote Papp.
As a result of cost-saving measures, the following post offices are planned to be temporarily closed in Hajdú-Bihar county:
