According to the Minister of National Defence, it would be necessary for as many young people as possible to undertake a predictable, secure livelihood in the military.
Kristóf Szalay-Bobrovniczky said on Tuesday at the barracks of the 5th István Bocskai Infantry Brigade of the Hungarian Defense Forces in Debrecen:
“I would like as many young people as possible to take up a stable, predictable, and secure military career.”
The minister spoke about this in front of the 23 students of Kedvesház in Nyírtelek and their companions visiting the barracks.
The young people, who participated in the barracks visit as part of their institution’s career orientation organization, were also able to familiarize themselves with military equipment and try some of them out.
Kristóf Szalay-Bobrovniczky emphasized that the demonstration for young people is an important initiative of the national defense, as getting to know military equipment is a great experience for children, and such occasions also serve as patriotic education.
The minister praised the soldiers of the rifle brigade, who, as he said, are participating in the removal of migration pressure on the southern border, and from February of this year, also in the protection of the eastern border.
In Nyírtelek, Szabolcs Szatmár county, the educational program has been running since the nineties, which takes children living in difficult family circumstances from the outskirts of the settlement into a dormitory system.
