Changeable but warm weather is expected this week

Lots of sunshine is expected this week, but showers and thunderstorms are also expected. On Tuesday, a cold front will arrive with strong winds, so the temperature will drop temporarily, but the peak values will still be mostly around 30 degrees Celsius, according to the national medium-term forecast of the National Meteorological Service.


On Monday, the abundant sunshine is usually only disturbed by a few cumulus clouds, at most there may be a little more clouds in the middle of the country, but precipitation is not expected there either. The highest daytime temperature is likely to be between 26 and 31 degrees.

Cloudiness will increase in Northern Transdanubia by dawn on Tuesday, and then elsewhere during the day, but the sun will shine everywhere for at least a few hours. In the evening, more definite clouds may begin. At night, showers and thunderstorms occur only in the northern part of Transdanubia, during the day elsewhere – most likely in the southwestern and southern counties. The lowest night temperature is expected to be between 13 and 21 degrees, the peak value will be between 24 and 30 degrees.

By dawn on Wednesday, it is expected to be very cloudy or overcast, and then during the day the cloudiness will break and the cloudiness will decrease. It may rain at night, mainly in the southern counties, and during the day the precipitation will gradually stop. The minimum temperature is between 13 and 18 degrees, the maximum is between 19 and 26 degrees.

On Thursday, mostly sunny weather is expected with the formation of cumulus clouds, mainly in the northeast and east, showers and thunderstorms may occur. The lowest night temperature is likely to be between 8 and 15 degrees, the highest daytime temperature between 21 and 28 degrees.

On Friday, with lots of sunshine, cumulus clouds will form, and showers and thunderstorms may also develop in some places. In the morning, the air cools down to between 10 and 18 degrees, and in the late afternoon, the temperature rises to between 25 and 30 degrees.

Strong cumulus clouds should be expected on Saturday, and showers and thunderstorms may occur in several places. The lowest night temperature is likely to be between 13 and 19 degrees, the highest daytime temperature is between 22 and 31 degrees.

On Sunday, there will be a lot of sunshine with the formation of cumulus clouds, scattered showers and thunderstorms. The lowest night temperature is expected to be between 12 and 18 degrees, and the highest daytime temperature is between 24 and 31 degrees.
