Highest, Red Weather Alert Remains on Monday in the Southern Part of the Country

The National Meteorological Service issued the highest red level warning in two southern counties for Monday as well. In the counties of Csongrád-Csanád and Békés, the average daily temperature can rise above 29 Celsius on the first day of the week.

In the counties of Bács-Kiskun, Pest, Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok, Hajdú-Bihar and Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg, a second degree (orange) weather alert is in effect due to the high average temperature for Monday, the average temperature is expected to be above 27 degrees in these areas.

According to the forecast, the average temperature on Sunday is usually 26-28 degrees, and in the Great Plain, in the eastern and southeastern parts of Transdanubia and in urban areas, it is expected to be around 29 degrees. In Baranya, Bács-Kiskun, Békés, Csongrád-Csanád, Hajdú-Bihar, Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok, Pest and Tolna, the highest third-degree (red) warning is in effect, where the average temperature is expected to be above 29 degrees Celsius. On Monday, sunny weather is expected with some clouds. From the late afternoon and evening hours, especially in Transdanubia, the formation of cumulus clouds may be stronger, and showers and thunderstorms may also occur. The south, southeast wind turns to the north in Transdanubia and occasionally strengthens. Stormy gusts can also occur in the vicinity of thunderstorms. The maximum temperature is likely to be between 28 and 32 degrees in Western Transdanubia, and 33-39 degrees elsewhere.
