Debrecen’s paramedics have a special Christmas tradition, the National Ambulance Service published on its Facebook page.
It is a long-standing tradition at the Debrecen ambulance station that the emergency vehicle is always called at the same time, to the same location on Christmas Eve, they write.
Not only the title but also the task is the same because the emergency vehicle visits its former patient, a master sewer manufacturer. Since the lady’s accident many years ago, she has been continuously supplying the paramedics with high-quality water all year round, completely free of charge.
At Christmas, however, the rescuers treat themselves with gifts collected by the staff, which are given in return every year at this time.
