Rain may occur in the east on Friday, but for the weekend, expect several hours of sunshine with cirrus and cumulus clouds. The wind may be brisk in some areas, and daytime highs will range between 15-20°C, according to the forecast from HungaroMet Nonprofit Zrt.
On Friday, persistent rain will cease even in the east as the frontal cloud cover moves away. However, cloud formation will remain strong, especially in the eastern third of the country, with showers likely to develop in the afternoon.
Thunder may occur in isolated spots, while sunny weather with cumulus clouds is expected elsewhere, without significant rainfall. The northwesterly and northerly winds will be brisk in many areas, with strong gusts possible in Transdanubia and northeastern Hungary. Daytime highs will range between 15-22°C.
Into early Saturday, drizzle may occur mainly in the north and northeast, and there could be fog or low cloud cover, especially east of the Danube. These will gradually dissipate, giving way to cumulus clouds, and cirrus clouds will move in from the west. Several hours of sunshine are generally expected. The northerly winds, and later southeastern winds in Transdanubia, may be brisk in places. Temperatures will rise from morning lows of 3-11°C to highs between 14-19°C.
Sunday will bring partly cloudy skies with occasional sunshine, and only isolated light rain may occur, mainly in the north. Winds will pick up in many places, with strong gusts from the south and southwest, later shifting to the northwest. Morning lows will range from 1-10°C, with daytime highs between 15-22°C, with cooler temperatures in the northeast.
