In Debrecen, infrastructure developments have begun with the construction of utility pipelines on István and Vértesi streets starting from October 14, 2024.
According to the municipality’s information, the work commenced with a bore under Route 4, which affects the section of István Street between the Vincellér Street roundabout and István Street number 136 (AKSD residential waste yard). Temporary lane markings and lane closures are expected in the affected area until December 15, 2024.
To ensure safe traffic management, temporary traffic signs have been installed, and the traffic light programs at the intersection of István Street and Vincellér Street have been modified.
Depending on weather conditions, the contractor will begin work simultaneously in multiple sections starting in early November 2024, as follows:
– Between Déli sor and the railway crossing on Vértesi Street,
– In the section between István Street number 136 and Déli sor,
– On Vértesi Street.
During the work, lane closures, lane markings, and speed limits will be in effect on the affected road sections. Drivers are advised to exercise increased caution when traveling in these areas and, if possible, to avoid these road sections.
