A heated argument preceded the woman’s act on Sunday night. After a serious dispute with her ex-boyfriend, she decided to seek revenge. She took some gasoline, went to the man’s car, doused it with the fuel, and set it on fire.
Even she was surprised by how quickly the car went up in flames and never imagined that she would cause damage to other vehicles as well. The fire spread to two other parked cars, which were extinguished by firefighters.
The police immediately suspected arson at the scene and began an investigation. Within just two hours, they identified and apprehended the woman, who gave a full confession during her interrogation.
The Debrecen Police Department has initiated proceedings against her for vandalism, but the investigation will also examine the possibility of endangering public safety.
