The film drama of Régis Wargnier entitled Indochine (1992) is about a French woman (Catherine Deneuve) living in Indochina in the 1930’s. The beautiful and strong Eliane raises a Vietnamese princess ( Linh Dan Panh) on her rubber fields and they both fall in love with the same French army officer (Vincent Perez).
