The Venice Biennale is a major contemporary art exhibition that takes place once every two years in Venice, Italy.
Alongside the Central Pavilion, the Giardini are occupied by 29 pavilions built at different periods by the various countries participating in the Biennale. Hungary’s pavilion was designed by Géza Rintel Maróti in 1909. It was restored by Agost Benkhard in 1958.
This year the project of Zsolt Asztalos represents Hungary at the Biennale that opens on 30 May.
