István Sándor, Hungarian Salesian and laborer was beatified this afternoon at the St Stephen’s Basilica in Budapest.
István Sándor was murdered under the influence of the Communist Party in 1953; his death is recognized as martyrdom by the Catholic Church.
He was beatified before St. Stephen’s Basilica in Budapest through Cardinal Angelo Amato SDB, Prefect of the Congregation for the Causes of Saints.
