Testament of Youth (2014), directed by James Kent, is a great coming-of-age drama based on a true story. The movie depicts the early ages of Vera Brittain, an independent woman in the 1910s, who abandoned her Oxford studies to go to the front and become a nurse during WW I.

The movie’s premiere was at the British Film Institute London Film Festival in 2014 and it was well received both by critics and audience.
