New Year’s Eve was celebrated in Hajdúszoboszló in a traditional way.2017 was welcomed in Hajdúszoboszló in a traditional way. People gathered on the main square of the city and said goodbye to 2016 with whips. The tradition is based on an old story that says Hungarian women beat Turkish soldiers with whips hundreds of years ago.
