László Miske received his diamond diploma at the Reformed Church on Farkas Street in Cluj-Napoca over the weekend. The actor of the Csokonai Theater graduated from the Reformed Theological Institute in Cluj-Napoca 60 years ago, and after two years of pastoral service in Bágyon, he applied for acting studies. He began his professional acting career in Oradea in 1965, played in Miskolc and Szeged between 1990 and 1992, and has been a member of the Csokonai Theater in Debrecen since 1993.
László Miske had longed for a career as an actor, for him Reformed theology was a refuge from totalitarian rule, but theology became his “school of students”, as his main mentor was the great master of fine speech and soul cultivation, poet Albert Maksay, János Vásárhelyi and Juhász István, ecclesiastical scholars, pallorized his spirituality and intellect, and he had such companions as Dénes Fülöp, who was famous for the faithfulness of the konok.
The subsequent change of career – the transition from a priestly career to a board representing the world – was a change of forum. As he said, although he resigned from church service, he also performed church service as an actor.
