The program series entitled Holocaust 80 – Debrecen began with an international Holocaust education conference in cooperation with the University of Debrecen and the Jewish Community of Debrecen.
Teachers and students from more than 150 educational institutions in the region listened to lectures mainly on the possibilities of Holocaust education.
At the event, deputy mayor István Puskás drew attention to the fact that peace must be preserved.
