A new intergrated waste recycling centre was handed over yesterday in Let, Covasna county, Romania constructed by a Debrecen-based company. However, waste – produced in the county – is still transported to another refuse container institution in Brasov county, Romania.
According to an EU-law, operator of the centre has to be chosen during a special programme called competitive bidding, which can make the process extremely long.
The institution, which cost 6 billion HuF, was built by Keviép Ltd. and it guarantees that waste, produced in the county, can be processed and stored for another 40 years.
