Debrecen Won the Prize – Best Emerging City of the Year

Debrecen won the prize of the Best Emerging City of the Year in Warsaw, Poland yesterday (2nd February).Now Debrecen has the title of the Best Emerging City of the Year in Central Europe. The city won the prize yesterday in Warsaw, Poland at the CEE Shared Services Gala which was held for the 5th time.

Debrecen was represented at the event by Lajos Barcsa, vice mayor and colleagues of EDC Urband and Economic Development Center.

Debrecen was competing for the main prize against the cities of Kaunas (Lithuania), Plovdiv (Bulgaria) and Kosice (Slovakia).

There are more than 3000 people in Debrecen working in the SSC sector and this number is getting bigger each year. Multinational companies (IT Services, British Telecom, Epam, Transcosmos, Flowserve) are continuously improving and modernizing their offices in the city.
