German company ThyssenKrupp Spring & Stabilizers is building a new factory in Debrecen. The investment will cost 35 million Euros and it means that there will be 250 new jobs in the city.Marc De Bastos Eckstein, CEO of ThyssenKrupp Presta Hungary Ltd. announced on Friday at a press conference in Budapest that there would be a great investment in the city of Debrecen in the near future, since they are planning to build their new factory in the second largest city of Hungary.
ThyssenKrupp group has more than 1000 employees in the country. They are working in car industry, in elevator technology and in steel trade. The company has a software development centre in Budapest. There are more than 500 engineers working in the Hungarian office since 1999.
Hungarian government supports ThyssenKrupp’s great investment in Debrecen by 3.8 billion HuF. The company will produce springs and stabilizers in Debrecen for the biggest stakeholders of car industry.
Matthias Koll, CEO of ThyssenKrupp Spring & Stabilizers said that production of car equipment in their new factory would start in 2018. He also told the press that they had chosen the city of Debrecen because of its good infrastructure, skilled workers, great educational institutions and outstanding supplier structure.
