The number of home building permits issued in Hungary rose by 2.7% to 27,388 in the first three quarters of 2019, data released by the Central Statistical Office (KSH) show.
The number of home building permits issued in Budapest rose by 22.0% to 10,031. The number of those issued in county seats and cities with over 50,000 residents fell 5.3% to 5,771. In other cities, they were down 12.3% at 6,835, while smaller localities saw a surge of 4.4%, to 4,751.
The number of completed homes increased by 0.8% to 10,302 in the first nine months. In Budapest, that number jumped 17.1% to 2,523. In county seats it rose 5.2% to 2,871 and in other cities it was down 17.8% at 2,609. Smaller communities saw a rise of 6.4% to 2,299.
