Industrial producer prices grew by 5.2% in September from the same month the previous year, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said.
Prices for domestic sale edged up 1.0% while export prices rose by 7.3%. In the manufacturing sector, export prices rose by 7.3%, while import prices increased by 1.5%. Import prices in the energy sector edged down 0.3%. KSH acknowledged the influence on producer prices of the weaker forint and changes to commodities and feedstock prices. In a month-on-month comparison, industrial producer prices rose by 2.8% as domestic prices increased by 1.3% and export prices climbed 3.5%. In January-September, industrial producer prices rose by 3.6% year-on-year as prices for domestic sale edged up 0.6% and export prices increased by 5.2%.
