According to the information of GKI Gazdaságkutató Zrt., in 14 out of the 19 counties of Hungary the monthly net earnings were below the national average, which – according to the data of the tax authority – was HuF 295 thousand gross in 2019.
In Budapest, the monthly net is 260 thousand forints. The salary was HuF 214 thousand in the cities with county status, HuF 186 thousand in other cities, while HuF 161 thousand in villages. People earned the most in Telki, where an employee was given an average of 390 thousand forints, while the lowest, 31,000 forints, was earned in Csenyéte.
As for the counties, people earn the most in Pest and Győr-Moson-Sopron counties, where the average monthly salary is 223 thousand forints. The lowest earnings were achieved in Nógrád, Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén, Somogy (equally HuF 172 thousand), Békés (HuF 170 thousand) and Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg counties (HuF 157 thousand).
