Hungary’s exports and imports both grew at a faster pace in December, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) confirmed.
Exports rose by an annual 11.0% to 8.349 billion euros and imports climbed 7.1% to 7.951 billion euros, both accelerating from the previous month. The trade surplus stood at 398 million euros, widening from 99 million euros in the base period. For the full year, exports fell by 4.2% to 104.490 billion euros and imports dropped by 5.8% to 98.695 billion. The trade surplus widened to 5.795 billion euros from 4.334 billion a year earlier.
