Hungary’s unadjusted industrial output grew by an annual 58.8% in April from a low base, according to a second reading of Central Statistical Office (KSH) data released on Tuesday.
Adjusted for working-day effects, output was up by 59.2%. KSH said output of the automotive segment was up by 342.5% in April, while growth in computer, electronics and optical equipment as well as food, drink and tobacco production was below average. Month on month, output shrank by 3.2% based on seasonally and working day-adjusted data. Industrial sales increased by 57.6% year-on-year as domestic sales climbed 24.5% and export sales jumped 83.7%.
