Hungary’s exports were flat in September compared with the same period a year earlier, as industry was impacted by supply chain interruptions, a second reading of data released by the Central Statistical Office (KSH) on Thursday shows.
Exports reached 10.370 billion euros, level with their value in September 2020. Imports rose by 14.3% to 10.498 billion euros, giving Hungary a 128 million trade deficit. Hungary, an export-driven economy where trade surpluses are the norm, had a trade deficit for the third month in a row in September.
