Hungary’s trade balance showed a surplus in May, after ten consecutive months of deficits, a first reading of data released by the Central Statistical Office (KSH) on Thursday shows.
Hungary, an export-driven economy, had a 135 million euro trade surplus in May. Exports rose by an annual 27.6% to 12.116 billion euros and imports climbed 27.2% to 11.981 billion euros. Trade with other European Union member states accounted for 76% of exports and 71% of imports.
