Over 21,000 Refugees Arrive From Ukraine on Friday, Saturday


Fully 12,763 people crossed into Hungary directly from Ukraine on Friday and Saturday, while another 9,512 from Ukraine crossed from Romania, the national police headquarters said.


Police issued temporary residence permits valid for thirty days to 726 people, the police website said. Holders of such permits must contact a local immigration office near their place of residence within thirty days to apply for permanent documents, it added. Budapest police received 892 refugees, 325 children among them, arriving by train, according to the municipal police website.
