Maszol.ro writes that classes in Nagybánya (Romania) secondary schools, primary schools and kindergartens were suspended for three days due to disinfection. Two students were diagnosed with meningitis.
“On December 2nd, 2024, all public education institutions in Nagybánya (secondary schools, elementary schools, kindergartens) will suspend the education with physical visits. On December 3rd and 4th, 2024, only the long-program preschools will be able to provide education with a personal visit. Between December 2nd and 4th, lessons are held online in short-program kindergartens and for primary and secondary school students,” the Máramaros County Chief Education Inspectorate announced.
According to the Máramaros County Public Health Administration, the alarm threshold has been reached,
as two cases of meningococcal disease were confirmed
in the same community, Nagybánya, in the same week (between November 25th and 29th).
