German chain store, Lidl made an unexpected step: they have started selling locally grown marijuana in their stores.From now on, Swiss people can buy locally grown marijuana from Lidl, as the chain store has started to sell it alongside traditional tobacco products in their stores in Switzerland.
Local authorities in Switzerland passed a bill in 2011 which allows people over the age of 18 to purchase and use marijuana containing no more than 1% of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC).
With this step, Lid has become one of the first stores where purchasing marijuana is possible for customers.
