Global

Prime Minister Viktor Orbán will travel to Uzbekistan on March 30 to meet President Shavkat Mirziyoyev for talks on strengthening bilateral ties, and to discuss the global fight against the coronavirus pandemic and the resulting economic crisis.

A delegation of Hungarian businesspeople will accompany Orbán to Tashkent and negotiate economic and trade opportunities with potential Uzbek partners. Orbán had been scheduled the following day to attend a meeting of the Turkic Council in Turkestan, Kazakhstan, but this has been moved online due to the pandemic.
