California will end the statewide mask mandate on February 15th.
One day after Valentines, people can drop off masks in California and the state lifts negative test requirements to visit hospitals and nursing homes
As Governor Gavin Newsom announced on Monday, February 7th – “On February 15, California’s statewide indoor mask requirement will expire. Unvaccinated people must still wear masks in indoor public settings.” The announcement also means, that masks will still be required in some settings for vaccinated people, including K-12 schools, on public transportation and in healthcare settings.
For unvaccinated people, masks will still be required inside churches.
California was among the first states to require face coverings in public places, which has been in effect since June 2020.
