Former Japanese Prime Minister Abe Sinzó, who was assassinated during an election campaign event in the city of Nara, died in the hospital.
The 67-year-old former prime minister was giving a speech next to the local representative candidate when a man approached the pulpit, pulled a gun from behind his back and shot him twice. Abe Sinzó was wounded in the neck and left collarbone, which caused him heavy internal bleeding.
Unfortunately, they could not even save his life with a blood transfusion.
A man in his 40s was detained at the scene for the attack.
