The actor plays Gordon/Whipped Peter and the film is based on a true story of the darkest time of American slavery. The film is a serious exclamation point to the world about how systems that judge based on skin color or affiliation create a dehumanized, distorted, and dangerous society. We were there at the premiere in Los Angeles.
