Despite the bad weather, the 46- and 48-year-old men went into the sea at Rosignano, near Livorno, Tuscany, the Italian news agency ANSA reported on Saturday.
According to the news agency’s report, the coast guard, the fire brigade and the police were also on the beach, but the arriving rescuers were not able to help the two men.
