The Foreign Relations Commitee, AEGEE-Debrecen and the AIESEC Local Committee jointly organized an event for international students on Apil 29 in MODEM.
The donation was handed over on 21th of May to the Children`s Hope Foundation for Children with Leukemia at the Child Hospital.
The students arrived to the hospital with several bags filled with toys. They held the "International Event" at the Modem with nearly 150 participants. They saw indian dances and Japan origami and talked about entertainment, politics and relationships. The event raised a 80 thousand HUF and they also collected toys from foreign students.
The chairman of the foundation Sandor Zsupos said that they will hand over the money and the toys on their Children`s day event. Around 3 thousand foreign students are involved in trainings (most of them in the
medical training) and through international organizations more and more students coming to Debrecen. The medical students acquired personal experiencesof the Child Hospital`s healing work during their studies.
