More than 200 foreign students took part in their programmes. A total of 230 students from 42 countries /mostly from Germany, France, USA, Italy but there were students from the Philippines,
Japan, Korea, Mexico and Thailand as well/ learnt Hungarian during the month long courses.
They took 6 Hungarian lessons a day. The organizers held a two-week course in modern Hungarian history and culture in English for the foreigners.
The participants were able to study Hungarian folk dances and songs in a funny way.
The organizers next thematic course will be between 22 August and 4 September focusing on "Renewing traditions of Hungarian musical education" theme. This program will be co-organized by the Faculty of Music,
University of Debrecen.
