Many European cities hold the European Car Free Day on 22 September. Debrecen this year, also joined the initiative.
The municipality of Debrecen and the Small Area Health Coalition is also preparingto the European Mobility Week, (16-22 September) with the special event of the European Car Free Day on September 22. The program is designed to draw the attention of cityleaders and policy makersto the accidents and environmental problems caused by the increased automobile traffic.
In Debrecen the Deri Museum area going to be closed from traffic.
In this area the Small Area Health Coalition, and Museum Deri will promote physical activity. There will be health-programmes and blood pressure, body weight and body mass index calculation. From Lake Bekasa bike parade will start.
