Debrecen Folk Ensemble is 60 years old. On that occasion, they call the public to see and join to their joint all-popular folk music and dance event in Fönix Hall on 23th of October.
The all day long folk dance, folk fair and craft workshops for the young and
old will be available at Fonix Hall Debrecen and 7 pm they celebrate the
their anniversary with a gala show.
The Debrecen Folk Ensemble was established under the leadership of Andras
Beres choreographer and folklorist in spring 1950. The primary purpose of their work to use “clean source” (from the mother tongue and folk traditions around Debrecen).
The founders objectives still focusing on the Hungarian traditions showing the habits and dance folklore of the whole Hungarian-speaking area. They also highlighted the Hajdu-Bihar county traditions from the Great Hungarian folk traditions, songs, dances.
The program:
10:00 – 17:00 Fair, arts and crafts, dance tuition for children and adults.
Tickets: 600 HUF, 800 HUF
12:00- “60 years, sixty pictures” exhibition`s opening celebration
The exhibition`s inauguration will be held by Dr. Kalman Radics, Hajdu Bihar County Archives
The exhibition will be available to 17:00
