This year famous folk bands such as the Morotva, Burkos, Torkoly and the
Band Kalo (from Kolozsvar/Cluj) will perform on stage during the one and a
half days. Location and time: Debrecen, Hatvan street 32, November 5 – 6, 2010.
The well known and popular Muzsikas ensemble will give a concert on November 5.
The Muzsikas was among the first bands who stepped out to the international stage with the aim to fix the Hungarian traditional folk music into an equivalent place to other music genres. They gave successful concerts on folk and world music festivals and
participating in classical, alternative and other music events too.
If you do not interested in the authentic folk music maybe you going to enjoy Mihaly Dresch saxophonist`s concert on November 6. His Dresch Quartet is mixing the the folk music with the free jazz music. After the concerts dance house is waiting for the visitors till dawn with the participation of the bands.
The event is coorganized by the Hetmerfoldes Cultural Association and the Association of Hungarian Folk Center.
