Researchers found a new and more efficient method in screening the eye complications caused by diabetes in Debrecen. The internationally recognized achievements have been funded by the National Office for Research.
The consortium of research participants, at the University of Debrecen, takes part in a three year long project to develop a system which automatically carries out pre-screening of patients.
The system separating images of digital recordings made from the eye on the basis of healthy and diabetic retinopathy fundus. So specialists has the advantage to examine only the recordings which was classified as positive.This procedure will be recognized to show one of the first sign of ocular complications in early stage
caused by diabetes.
