The Christmas floodlight installation began in October in downtown Debrecen.
This year, they decorated both sides of the road from Szechenyi street to the
Great Reformed Church Street and above the tram track all the way to the
Railway station with lightbulbs.
The festive atmosphere is ensured with the light of 180 000 bulbs. They mostly installed modern, energy-efficient LED light sources. Indeed this year there will be light-pine and light-fountain. The outer settlements of Debrecen can also flourish glow: Bank, Halap, Jozsa, Kismacs and Nagymacs have 50 bells signalling the festive atmosphere.
The total cost of the Christmas lights is nearly 5.4 million Huf.
