Romanian and Hungarian policemen keep traffic under control together during December and January.
They co-operate with controlling drivers on the main and side-roads in Hajdú-Bihar county. The aim of control is to prevent accidents, increase tourists’ feeling of security and filter summary offences.
Local traffic has become significantly busy because of holidays for Christmas. There are a lot of workers travelling home to Romania and shopping-tourism is also significant.
Control has started on Monday, 13th of December, and there are going to be checkings three more times this month. Six Hungarian and six Romanian policemen are taking part in control.
