It was announced on Sunday, February 26, at a conference in Debrecen that the teacher training for physical sciences is in ultimate danger in Hungary. The University of Debrecen is trying to help and encourage the young and talented by world-class researches.
Zsolt Pales, deputy rector of the University of Debrecen said that less and less people are interested in the scientific subject at the university but the need for vocational teachers will increase in the future.
It was also said at the conference that the number of students applying to become physics, chemistry, biology or mathematics majors is much less than the capacity of the university and this means that soon there can be a shortage of teachers in the field of the teaching of sciences.
