On Monday a talk was given to pedagogues and to those working in the area of child protection about the disorders in family roles and juvenile crime.
At the event organized jointly by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the University of Miskolc it was said that the fact that in the past 20 years the number of marriages has decreased by 40 % while that of the divorces has increased by 24 % is an indicator that families are in crisis. Among others the talk discussed how to recognize family abuse and how a young person with seemingly stable family background can become aggressive. Erika Váradi Csemáné, deputy dean of the University of Miskolc stressed that events like this one are useful because teachers can get to know means and methods which may help to resolve conflicts within the family.
